One time I stopped to enjoy nature was during a walk at the lake near my house. The water was calm, and the sunset made the sky orange and pink. I remember feeling peaceful and forgetting about everything else for a moment. It made me realize how fast life moves and how important it is to slow down and appreciate small, quiet moments.

Prompt: In the poem, the speaker and his neighbor meet each year to repair a wall. Describe a time when you had to set or respect a boundary with a friend, family member, or classmate. How did it help or hurt your connection with that person?

One time I had to set a boundary was with a friend who kept copying my homework. I told them I couldn’t share my work anymore because it wasn’t fair to me. At first, it made things a little awkward, but later they understood. It helped our friendship because we started working together the right way instead of cheating.
Both poems by Robert Frost explore the passage of time and life’s changing moments. Write about a time when something in your life changed more quickly than you expected. How does this experience connect to Frost’s idea that “Nothing gold can stay”?

When I moved to a new school, everything changed faster than I thought it would. I made new friends and got used to new classes quickly. It connects to Frost’s idea that “Nothing gold can stay” because those first exciting days didn’t last long. It showed me that good moments pass fast, but that makes them special.

My faovorite word right now is abstonece. It means a lot to me because staying away from sex can help me a lot in life. It can prevent me from getting STDs, causing problems and making realtionships complicated, and mainly getting someone pregnant. My life would be ruined if I got someone pregnant right now.
In “Birches,” Robert Frost celebrates imagination as a way to escape life’s difficulties and reconnect with innocence. The speaker wishes to “get away from earth awhile” but also understands that he must eventually return to reality. Think about the role of imagination in your own life. How does imagination help you cope with challenges, boredom, or stress?

Imagination helps me deal with challenges and stress by giving me a way to step out of reality for a little while. When things feel overwhelming, I imagine being somewhere peaceful such as out on a field or by the water, and it helps me clear my head. I also use imagination when I am bored or stuck because it helps me come up with new ideas or picture goals I want to reach. Like in “Birches,” imagination gives me a short escape, but it also reminds me to come back to real life with a fresh mindset.
After reading “Out, Out—” by Robert Frost, reflect on a time when you faced a dangerous or high-pressure situation that demanded your complete focus. What made the situation risky, and how did your concentration affect the outcome?

A dangerous situation I've been in was in 5th grade when I slept over at my friends house. We were all in his basement playing pool and having fun when we heard a door open. We went upstairs to see who it was but didn't find anyone and his older sister and mom were not in the house. We went back to the basement and heard someone stoping around. We thought someone had broken into the house and hid with his little brother with pool balls as wepons. Eventually we figured out that it was just his mom coming back from a late night walk with his dog and she had headphones in so she couldn't hear us.

Over fall break I did not do much. I hung out with my freinds a lot, played a lot of lacrosse, went to the gym everyday, and went to netherworld with some people. Because it was fall break and we had no school my travel lacrosse team decided to have 4 hour practices mainly because of the tournament we have this weekend. We start with a hour of conditioning, followed by an hour of passing and shooting, and finaly 2 hours of live practice like 6v6 or 4v4. It was fun but really tiering. Netherworld was really fun but pretty expensive for how long it was.

One time that stuck with me was when my mom told me I needed to start thinking more about college because I’m getting older. She said it calmly but seriously, and it made me realize I can’t just go with the flow anymore. Since then, I’ve started taking school and my future more seriously because her words made me see how fast time goes.

A moment I had to step out of my comfort zone was when I was during lacrosse practice. During practice for my club team we have to play at a higher level then I had before. I practice with my left hand but don't use it to much because I've only ever played in school. Its a whole different game and I was forced to use my off hand when passing and shooting.

A dream that felt real was when I dreamed about a school shooting. I was so scary and the school was underattack. Me and my friends were hiding but we got found by one of them. I took his gun and me and my friends ran away. They eventually cought us and I sacrificed my self and got shot. I woke up and was terrified but I realised it was just a dream.

I have always been curious about what girls do when hanging out with their friends. Usually we hang out in a group with girls but we also hang out with just the boys a lot. When we do we play video games, watch football/lacrosse games, play baskekt ball, and more. I know that none of the girls enjoi those things and I'm very curious as to what they do when they hang out.

The best gift I have ever received was my car this Christmas. I was so excited when opened a small box with car keys in them on Christmas morning. Now that I have a car of my own I can go where every I want when ever I want and this has given me so much freedom. I no longer have to rely on others to do what I need to do and I am so grateful that my family has the resourses to get me a car.

A conversation that changed me was talking to my brother who's 2 years older than me about college. As an outcome of our conversation I went to visit him at UGA and knew I wanted to go there and how important my grades were so I would make it in. This have driven me to really try this year in school and give it my all so I can go to UGA.

As I child I belived in Santa. This was something I was so sure in and I loved him. Me and my brother would stay up all night long checking santa tracker (a app that said where "Santa" was) and could never fall asleep at night. the inticipation preventing us from sleeping made me and my brother stay up all night watching chirsitmas movies and these are some of my favorite memories I have. Waking up at 6am and running downstairs with him to see what Santa left was always amzing.
