Write about a truth you were afraid to accept.

 A truth I was afraid to accept was that Santa Claus wasn’t real. For years, I loved the magic of Christmas and the excitement of believing someone was flying around the world bringing joy. But as I got older, the little clues started adding up, and I eventually realized it was my parents all along. It was hard to let go of the magic, but I’ve learned that the spirit of giving is real even if Santa isn’t.
